The location is absolutely killer if you’re serious about shopping or just want to feel like you’re in the heart of posh London. You’re literally across from Harvey Nichols (dangerous for your wallet), and Harrods is maybe a three-minute walk down Knightsbridge. What’s really handy is being right on the Tube – Knightsbridge station is practically underneath you, so getting anywhere in London is dead easy. Hyde Park is right there too, which is perfect for morning runs or just escaping the city madness for a bit. The rooms are… well, they’re comfortable enough, though honestly some feel a bit dated for a five-star place. The higher floors have those sweeping views over the park that make you feel properly important, but the lower rooms can be a bit disappointing. Service is generally solid – the concierge team actually knows their stuff about restaurant bookings and theater tickets, which isn’t always a given even at fancy hotels.

Just maybe request a higher floor when you book, and don’t expect cutting-edge luxury – think reliable comfort with an unbeatable address instead.
