But actually stepping into this place on Treveris Street completely changed my tune. It’s one of those converted warehouse buildings that Southwark does so well, where they’ve managed to keep the industrial bones but make everything feel surprisingly cozy inside.

The thing that really got me was the attention to detail in the apartments themselves. I mean, you walk in and there’s proper kitchen equipment – not those sad hotel mini-fridges and two-burner disasters. The living spaces feel like someone actually lives there, with decent-sized sofas you’d want to collapse on after walking around London all day. And honestly, the bathrooms are better than what I have at home (which isn’t saying much, but still). What I really appreciated was how quiet it stays at night – Treveris Street isn’t one of those main drags where you’re dealing with sirens and drunk people at 2 AM. You’re literally a three-minute walk from the Thames path, which means you can jog along the river in the morning or just wander over to see the city lights reflecting on the water at night.

Here’s what locals know that tourists don’t always figure out – you’re perfectly positioned between Borough Market and the South Bank without being stuck in the middle of either crowd. Walk five minutes toward London Bridge and you hit Borough Market for amazing coffee and food (go early though, it gets mental by 10 AM on weekends). Head the other direction and you’re at the Tate Modern or Shakespeare’s Globe. But the real gem is being close enough to Bermondsey Street that you can duck into all those little pubs and restaurants that haven’t been completely overrun yet. The staff here actually knows the neighborhood too – they pointed me toward Champor-Champor, this tiny Thai place that I never would’ve found otherwise. Parking’s a bit of a nightmare, like everywhere in London, but the Tube connections are solid and honestly, you’ll probably walk everywhere anyway. I stayed here during a pretty busy conference week and never felt like I was fighting for space or dealing with that hotel lobby chaos. It just… works, you know what I mean?
