Upper Montagu Street is one of those quiet residential roads that locals love – you’re literally a two-minute walk from Marble Arch station (which is brilliant for getting anywhere in the city), but the street itself stays refreshingly calm even during rush hour. I loved that you can pop down to Selfridges or Oxford Street when you want the energy, then retreat back to this peaceful pocket of Westminster when you need to recharge. There’s a lovely little Tesco Express around the corner on Crawford Street that became my daily coffee stop, and the barista there started recognizing me after just three days – that’s the kind of neighborhood feel you get here.

Hyde Park is basically your backyard (well, a three-minute walk), which means morning runs or evening strolls become part of your routine rather than a planned expedition. Honestly, after staying here, going back to a standard hotel room feels a bit cramped and impersonal.
