Honestly, when I first turned into Albion Mews, I wasn’t sure I was in the right place – it’s this quiet little cobblestone street that feels completely separate from the chaos of central London, even though you’re literally a three-minute walk from Hyde Park Corner. The Magnificent 2 Bed Mews House sits tucked away here like a secret, and I mean that in the best way possible.

What struck me immediately was how the place manages to feel both historic and completely livable. You know those London properties that are gorgeous but totally impractical? This isn’t one of them. The two bedrooms are actually proper size (not those shoebox situations you sometimes get), and the kitchen has everything you’d actually want to use. I ended up cooking more than I planned because, well, London restaurant prices, but also because the space just invited it. The living area has these big windows that let in surprising amounts of light for a mews house, and you can actually hear birds from the park in the morning instead of just traffic. The WiFi was solid throughout – I worked from the dining table several days without issues.

Location-wise, you’re in this sweet spot where you can walk to Marble Arch in about eight minutes, but you’re far enough from the Oxford Street madness that evenings are genuinely peaceful. There’s a little Tesco Express on Connaught Street that becomes your best friend for basics, and honestly, some of my favorite London discoveries happened just wandering the residential streets around here. Hyde Park is right there – I mean, you can see the corner from certain windows – so morning runs or evening walks just sort of happen naturally. The Tube access is pretty fantastic too; Lancaster Gate is closest, but you’ve got options, which I always appreciate when there are weekend closures or delays. Parking is typical London nightmare stuff, but if you’re staying here, you probably don’t need a car anyway. The 8.9 rating makes complete sense once you’ve been there a few days – it’s those little touches that add up, like having proper hangers in the closets and reading lights that actually work, plus the check-in process was refreshingly straightforward. I’d definitely stay again, especially if I was in London for more than just a quick trip and wanted somewhere that felt less like a hotel room and more like temporarily living there.
