Plus, being on a residential street means it’s genuinely quiet at night – no buses rumbling past your window at 6 AM like you get on the main roads. The area’s got this lovely village-y feel too, with Earl’s Court just around the corner for groceries and a proper mix of locals and long-term residents rather than just tourists. You’ll find yourself walking past the same dog walkers and morning joggers, which somehow makes the whole experience feel more authentic. The Tube connections are brilliant as well – Earl’s Court station gives you the District and Piccadilly lines, so you can get pretty much anywhere without the usual London transport gymnastics. I’ve stayed in flashier places that cost twice as much but left me feeling like I was just passing through.
