You know what struck me first about 3A Soho Studios? It’s actually on the third floor above all the Greek Street chaos, which means you get this weird perfect balance – you’re literally in the thick of Soho’s madness but floating just above it all. I mean, Greek Street is basically tourist central during the day with all the restaurants and that little buzz of people constantly moving through, but honestly, once you’re up there it’s surprisingly quiet.

The whole Indigo Flats setup is pretty clever, actually. They’ve taken what feels like old Soho building bones – you know, the kind with those narrow staircases that make you wonder how they got furniture up there – and turned it into something that works for people who want to be in Central London without paying Covent Garden hotel prices. The studio itself has this lived-in feel that’s way better than those sterile corporate places near Oxford Circus. There’s proper natural light coming through (rare for Soho, trust me), and the kitchen area is small but functional – I could actually make coffee without feeling like I was performing surgery in a closet. The 7.4 rating makes sense because it’s not trying to be fancy, just genuinely useful. You’re a two-minute walk from Soho Square if you need some green space, and Leicester Square tube is close enough that you don’t have to plan your life around transport.

Here’s the thing though – and this is important – Greek Street gets properly lively at night. Not crazy loud, but there’s definitely life happening below. If you’re the type who needs complete silence, maybe think twice, but if you actually want to feel like you’re staying in London rather than some sanitized version of it, this works. The whole area smells like a mix of coffee shops and whatever’s cooking in the restaurants downstairs, which honestly beats the weird cleaning product smell you get in chain hotels. Check-in was straightforward – no fancy lobby nonsense, just practical key exchange. Parking is basically impossible (this is Soho, after all), but you’re so well connected by tube that you really don’t need a car anyway. I’d definitely stay here again, especially if I wanted to be walking distance from West End shows but didn’t want to blow my budget on some overpriced place that’s all marble and no personality.
