Your Room and Comfort

The room I stayed in was exactly what you’d expect from a well-run three-star — nothing fancy, but everything worked perfectly. The bed was comfortable (which, let’s be honest, is what really matters after a long day exploring London), and the bathroom was spotless. I mean, you’re not getting marble countertops or a massive soaking tub, but the shower had good pressure and there was plenty of hot water. The Wi-Fi was reliable too, which is more than I can say for some pricier places I’ve stayed.

Transport-wise, you’re really well connected here. Clapham North tube station is close by, and the bus routes along Clapham Road will get you pretty much anywhere you need to go in South London. What I particularly appreciated was how easy it was to get to both the West End for shows and shopping, and to areas like Borough Market or the South Bank for weekend wandering. The staff actually gave me some solid recommendations for getting around — they clearly know the area well and aren’t just reading from a script.

  Location, most of the places of interest can be reached by bus or tube without transfer in less than one hour.

  8 stops on the northern line from kings cross and literally 1 minutes walk from the tube station. I was alone travelling with my daughter so this was brilliant for me. Clean rooms and very comfy beds. We only stayed 1 night. Got back late, slept and left first thing.
