Euro Hotel Overview
First Impressions
Walking up to the Euro Hotel on Cartwright Gardens, you immediately notice something different about this corner of London — it’s quieter here, almost village-like despite being smack in the middle of Camden. The Georgian terrace houses that line this garden square have this timeless elegance, and honestly, you feel like you’ve stumbled into one of those hidden London secrets that locals don’t really want tourists to discover. This three-star property sits perfectly in the curve of the crescent, and there’s something reassuring about its traditional brick facade.
The Bloomsbury Advantage
Here’s what I love about this location — you’re literally surrounded by some of London’s best bits, but tucked away from the chaos. Russell Square is a two-minute walk, which means you’ve got the Piccadilly line right there for getting anywhere fast. The British Museum? Seven minutes on foot, I timed it. King’s Cross and all those international train connections are close enough that you won’t stress about catching the Eurostar, but far enough that you’re not dealing with the constant tourist crowds. Camden Market’s energy is nearby when you want it, but Cartwright Gardens itself feels like a peaceful retreat.
The Room Experience
My room was exactly what you’d expect from a well-run London townhouse hotel — not huge, but cleverly designed so nothing feels cramped. The windows looked out over the garden square, which actually makes a difference when you’re trying to sleep (no traffic noise, just the occasional dog walker). The bed was comfortable enough that I didn’t wake up feeling like I’d been wrestling with it all night, and the bathroom, while compact, had decent water pressure — something you can’t take for granted in older London buildings. Everything felt clean and well-maintained, though don’t expect cutting-edge design or premium touches.
Breakfast and Practical Bits
The breakfast situation is pretty solid — they do both continental and full English options, so whether you want a quick coffee and pastry or the full bacon-and-eggs experience, you’re sorted. I mean, the full English isn’t going to win any awards, but it’s hearty and gets the job done before a day of sightseeing. The dining area has that classic hotel breakfast room feel, nothing fancy but perfectly functional. One thing worth noting — parking in this area is basically impossible, so if you’re driving, factor that in (though honestly, why would you drive in central London?).
Why Guests Love It
What really strikes me about the Euro Hotel is how it nails that sweet spot between location and value. You’re paying for the address more than anything else, and in London, that’s often the smartest move you can make. Couples seem to particularly appreciate the peaceful garden setting — there’s something romantic about those Georgian squares that just works. The staff genuinely seem to care about helping guests navigate the city, and after staying in plenty of London hotels where you feel like just another room number, that personal touch actually matters. It’s not trying to be something it isn’t, just a solid, reliable base for exploring one of the world’s great cities.

Reviews of Euro Hotel
Mireia from Spain (8/10)
Staff was incredibly kind, always trying to help. The breakfast was great, a little buffet plus English breakfast. The staff was super fast serving and refilling the buffet trays. The place is cute. The room was warm and clean. The location was great, away from the noise in a nice quiet area but within a couple of minutes from shops and restaurants and underground. I would definitely recommend it.

Great location in between St Pancras and Euston stations, yet still very quiet and set in classic London-esque crescent building formation. Pleasant entrance which was aesthetically pleasing.
Rooms simple but with everything needed and well maintained. Arrived at almost 23.00, check in simple and fast. Appreciated that guests received a key and code to the front door so that they could come and go at their own leisure even if reception wasn't manned.Joanna from Poland (7/10)

A small, pleasant boutique hotel. The breakfast was excellent, offering a choice of continental breakfast basic, with the option to order various egg dishes and English breakfast. The staff were kind and helpful. We didn’t spend much time at the hotel, as we were traveling around the city.

Gordon from United Kingdom (9/10)
The hotel is on a quiet road so no noises to keep me awake. The room was very clean and well appointed with towels, soap, water, tea and coffee. There were limited electrical sockets available near the desk but I had brought an extension lead so I was able to work in my room on a comfortable chair. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom was clean and everything worked except the shower head in Room 23 was floppy and wouldn 't stay upright on its own which spolied the shower.

Price included breakfast, which was plenty
