The Pack And Carriage London Overview
First Impressions
Walking up to The Pack And Carriage London on Eversholt Street, you immediately get the sense this is a proper neighborhood pub-turned-hotel — and I mean that in the best possible way. The building has that classic Victorian charm you’d expect in Camden, but without any of the stuffiness that sometimes comes with historic London properties. It’s a three-star place that knows exactly what it is, and honestly, that confidence shows from the moment you step inside.
Location That Actually Works
Here’s what I love about the location — you’re literally a two-minute walk from Euston Station, which sounds touristy until you realize how brilliant this actually is. You can hop on the Northern Line and be in the heart of the West End in ten minutes, or catch a train to pretty much anywhere in the UK without the hassle of crossing the city. The Euston area gets a bad rap sometimes, but this particular stretch of Eversholt Street has a proper local feel to it. There’s a reason couples rate the location so highly — you get that authentic London neighborhood vibe without being stuck in the middle of nowhere.
The Room Experience
The room I stayed in was compact but thoughtfully designed — you know, the kind of space where everything has its place and nothing feels wasted. The bed was surprisingly comfortable (I’m picky about mattresses), and the bathroom, while not huge, had decent water pressure and stayed warm. What struck me most was how quiet it was considering you’re so close to a major train station. The windows actually block out most of the street noise, which honestly surprised me given the location.
Neighborhood Character
Camden has this reputation for being all markets and tourist chaos, but staying here puts you in a different slice of the borough entirely. There’s a proper local pub just down the street where you’ll actually hear London accents, and the morning coffee crowd at the nearby cafés includes a mix of commuters and locals rather than just tourists with guidebooks. The British Library is practically around the corner too — not exactly a party destination, but if you’re into that sort of thing, it’s pretty spectacular.
Why Guests Love It
Look, this isn’t a place trying to be something it’s not. The Pack And Carriage delivers exactly what you’d want from a well-run London hotel — clean, comfortable, and positioned where you can actually experience the city like someone who lives here. The staff seem to genuinely know the area and can point you toward places that aren’t in every travel guide. For the price point and location, it’s one of those finds that makes you feel a bit smug about your booking skills. Plus, there’s something satisfying about staying somewhere with a bit of local character rather than another generic chain hotel.

Reviews of The Pack And Carriage London

Tastefully appointed, welcoming. Very clean. Friendly staff with quick check-in and check-out. Included continental breakfast was nice, not common in London. Breakfast didn't start until 0730 and we had to leave at 0700, but they had to-go bags that we could pack. Euston station is around the corner. About a 10 minute walk to Kings Cross/St Pancras.

When it comes to non-chain hotels, there is always a risk of something going wrong. However, this was not the case with The Pack and Carriage London. Everything was good.
The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was safe, clean and fairly modern. It took me some time to figure out how to work the heating and get the hot water running in the shower, but that was just me. Both were working. Great location as well, with underground, buses, shops and breakfast places nearby.Theresa from United Kingdom (7/10)
The room was very clean, staff were friendly. Fabulous shower. Some lovely design features in the room. Easy walking distance from Euston mainline station.

For the money we didn't expect a lavish suite and everything about the room and staff was excellent. We could hear the faint rumble of the underground but we were more intrigued by what it was than worried about it being a disturbance.
