Marylebone Inn Overview
First Impressions
Walking up to Marylebone Inn on Gloucester Place, you immediately get that classic London townhouse vibe — it’s tucked into a Georgian terrace that feels authentically local rather than touristy. This three-star property doesn’t try to be something it’s not, and honestly, that’s refreshing. The entrance is understated but welcoming, and you can tell right away that this place prioritizes location over flashy amenities.
Location Perfection
Here’s the thing about staying in London — location really is everything, and this hotel absolutely nails it. You’re literally a two-minute walk from Baker Street tube station, which means you can be anywhere in central London within 20 minutes. Regent’s Park is right there when you need some green space, and you know what? The whole Marylebone area has this village-y feel that most visitors never discover. There are proper local pubs, independent shops, and that Sunday farmers market on Marylebone High Street that locals actually use. The neighborhood truly offers something special for travelers seeking authentic London experiences.
The Rooms
The room I stayed in was compact but thoughtfully designed — this is London, so you’re not expecting sprawling spaces anyway. What impressed me was how they maximized every inch without making it feel cramped. The bed was genuinely comfortable (I’m picky about mattresses), and the bathroom, while small, had decent water pressure and stayed warm. The windows face the street, so you get a bit of that London buzz, but it’s not a busy road so it’s not disruptive at night. Every detail shows careful consideration for guest comfort.
Practical Touches
The staff here actually seem to know the neighborhood — when I asked about dinner recommendations, they didn’t just hand me a generic list but suggested specific dishes at nearby places. There’s no on-site restaurant, but honestly, with the quality of food options within a five-minute walk, you don’t need one. The WiFi works properly throughout the building (not always a given in these older London buildings), and they’ve got that sorted check-in process that doesn’t leave you standing around the lobby. Modern conveniences blend seamlessly with period charm.
Why Guests Love It
This spot just works for exploring London together, as evidenced by consistently high guest satisfaction scores. You can walk to Oxford Street for shopping, stroll through Regent’s Park for those Instagram moments, or hop on the tube to reach Westminster or the South Bank in minutes. The Marylebone Inn delivers exactly what it promises: a clean, comfortable base in one of London’s best-connected neighborhoods, without the premium prices you’d pay closer to the major tourist zones. It’s the kind of place where you spend your days out exploring and come back feeling like you’re staying somewhere that locals would actually choose. Perfect for travelers who value authenticity and accessibility.
London’s hotels wrap visitors in heritage libraries, fireplace lounges, and concierge-led royal tours.

Check in was quick and efficient, the manager was helpful and friendly. I had a room on the 3rd floor and having no lift the stairs were a good form of exercise 🙂 My room was at the rear of the property and therefore really quite. The bed was very comfortable with plenty of pillows. The room itself was a decent size and it was nice and clean.
Plenty of power sockets. The room has a small kitchenette, sink microwave & kettle. Small hanging space and a round dining table and two chairs. There was even small fridge too. More facilities than I needed.
The location of the hotel was really good, just around the corner from Baker Street station. Plenty of food options nearby too. Ideal as base of visiting London for a few days or even a week or so, you'd definitely leave fitter with those stairs. Would stay again without hesitation.Carol from United Kingdom (7/10)

Very clean and the kitchenette with fridge and microwave is a bonus.Cameron from United Kingdom (9/10)
A very attractive, bright and clean hotel in the perfect location in Marylebone, close to Baker Street and 20mins walk from Oxford Street, Bond Street, etc. I stayed here for one night as I had an interview, the owner was very friendly and welcoming. The room was well appointed with lots of tea, coffee and milk and was very spacious. Comfortable beds too. Given the location, friendly service and the size and contents of the room this hotel is fantastic. I very strongly recommend it to anyone who is looking for a place to stay in London, especially tourists as the location is great.

Perfect for where we was going but also thought the property was nice and manager and wife ever so helpful and polite couldn’t do enough to make us feel more comfortable

We were attending a wedding at the town Hall, which is quite literally round the corner, so the location was great. Also was a short walk to Oxford street/ Hyde Park and Regents Park. Comfortable stay, only downside is its set on a busy road, so rooms at the front are a bit noisy, but not really enough to keep you awake.
