Queens Hotel Overview
First Impressions
The Queens Hotel sits on Seven Sisters Road in Finsbury Park, and honestly, it’s one of those places that surprises you in the best way. From the outside, you might walk past thinking it’s just another London hotel, but step inside and you’ll find a three-star property that actually gets what travelers need. The staff greet you with genuine warmth — not that rehearsed hotel smile you get at some places — and the lobby has this comfortable, lived-in feel that immediately puts you at ease.
Location & Getting Around
Here’s what I love about staying in Finsbury Park — you’re close enough to central London without paying those ridiculous Zone 1 prices. The Finsbury Park tube station is literally a few minutes’ walk away, and from there you can reach King’s Cross in about 10 minutes or Camden in 5. You know what’s great? Arsenal’s Emirates Stadium is practically next door if you’re into football, and the actual Finsbury Park (the green space) is perfect for morning runs or just escaping the city buzz for a bit. Couples seem to really appreciate this area — I can see why, since it feels more like a proper London neighborhood rather than a tourist trap.
The Room Experience
My room was on the third floor, and while it wasn’t huge, it had everything I actually needed. The bed was comfortable enough that I didn’t wake up with that hotel-bed backache, and there’s decent storage space for your stuff. The bathroom was clean and functional — I mean, the shower had proper water pressure, which honestly can be hit or miss in London hotels. What I appreciated most was that the windows actually opened (not always a given), and the heating worked without making those weird clicking noises all night.
Breakfast & Dining
The full English breakfast here is actually worth getting up for — and I say this as someone who usually just grabs coffee and runs. They do it properly: proper bacon, eggs cooked how you want them, black pudding if that’s your thing, and decent coffee. The restaurant area gets busy around 8 AM, so if you’re not a morning person, either get there early or wait until after 9 when the business travelers have cleared out. The staff don’t rush you either, which is nice when you’re trying to fuel up for a day of London walking.
Why Guests Love It
What really works about Queens Hotel is that it delivers on the basics without trying to be something it’s not. Recent guests consistently rate the location highly, and after staying here, I get it — you’re connected to everything but not drowning in tourist crowds. The parking situation is manageable if you’re driving (though honestly, you probably don’t need a car here), and the value for money is solid for London standards. It’s the kind of place where you sleep well, start your day properly, and don’t feel like you’ve been nickel-and-dimed for every little thing. Perfect for couples exploring the city or anyone who wants a genuine London neighborhood experience.
Locals suggest to book apartments in London around Marylebone for farmers markets, bookshops, and leafy mews.

The place is in a perfect location – close to the tube and you can walk in Finsbury Park (in the daylight). They are super secure. The breakfast is fantastic! Rooms are small but that was what I was expecting and the shower was little and the floor slightly soft but I never felt unsafe!
