Ashburn Court Apartments Overview
First Impressions
Walking up to Ashburn Court Apartments on a quiet Kensington street, you immediately get that “I’ve found something special” feeling. The Victorian townhouse facade blends seamlessly into one of London’s most elegant neighborhoods, and honestly, you’d walk right past it if you didn’t know what you were looking for. That’s actually part of its charm — it feels like you’re staying in a proper London home rather than a typical hotel.
Location That Actually Matters
Here’s what I love about the location — you’re literally a three-minute walk from South Kensington tube station, which means the Natural History Museum, V&A, and Science Museum are all within easy strolling distance. But more importantly for daily life, there’s a Waitrose around the corner and some brilliant cafés on Exhibition Road that locals actually use. The four-star rating feels right because while it’s not trying to be flashy, everything works exactly as it should. Couples seem to absolutely love it here, and I can see why — the tree-lined streets are perfect for evening walks, and you’re close enough to Hyde Park for morning runs.
The Apartment Experience
What sets this place apart is that you’re getting a proper apartment rather than just a hotel room. Each unit has a full kitchen with everything you’d need — I mean everything, down to proper coffee cups and wine glasses. The living spaces feel genuinely lived-in rather than sterile, with comfortable sofas where you can actually relax after a day of sightseeing. The bedrooms are well-proportioned by London standards, and the bathrooms have that satisfying combination of period features and modern fixtures that actually work properly.
Daily Practicalities
You know what’s refreshing? The staff here seem to understand that travelers need practical help, not just polite smiles. They’ll sort out grocery deliveries if you want to cook, recommend the good local pubs (not tourist traps), and actually know the neighborhood well enough to give useful directions. There’s no on-site restaurant, but that’s sort of the point — you’ve got the freedom to eat in or explore the incredible food scene in South Ken. Parking is available, though honestly, you won’t need a car in this location.
Why Guests Love It
This place works because it gives you the best of both worlds — hotel services when you need them, but the independence of having your own space in London. The location score of 9.4 isn’t just marketing fluff; you really can walk to most major attractions or hop on the tube and be anywhere in central London within twenty minutes. It’s particularly brilliant for longer stays or if you’re traveling with family, since everyone can spread out a bit. The neighborhood has that perfect London residential feel where you’ll see the same dog walkers every morning and start to feel like a temporary local rather than just another tourist.

The location was quiet and far away from the touristy spots but close enough to either walk or tube. The staff was pleasant and helpful. There were 2 grocery stores very close, Sainsbury and Waitrose. Loved Waitrose!

Extremely clean, great staff, safe area, just at the outskirts of Central London but still in Zone 1 for underground pricing. Very comfortable apartment and loved the decor, very clean/simple/modern. Plenty of heat in each room/hallway.

A great little find in a perfect location, 10 minutes walk from the Natural History Museum and close to cafes and restaurants. Waitrose is also just around the corner!
Really friendly, helpful staff and the studio apartment was lovely. I stayed on the lower ground floor and there is a lift which is helpful for cases. The apartment was spacious, clean, nice kitchen and had a really comfortable bed. Great shower too! I would definitely stay there again and highly recommend it.Mark from Australia (9/10)
Great location, so close to Gloucester Rd Tube (with 3 lines), a Waitrose supermarket and plenty of dining options. The 1 Bed apartment was a great size with an ensuite and full kitchen ( including a Washing Machine/Dryer) – and the staff were extremely helpful and accommodating. Highly recommend this property for a short or long stay (I stayed for 2 weeks)
