Here’s what I love about Hammersmith — you’re properly in London but without the tourist chaos of central zones. The Hammersmith tube station is literally a few minutes’ walk away, and you’ve got both the Piccadilly and District lines right there. You know what’s brilliant? You can be in Covent Garden in about 20 minutes, but when you come back at night, you’re in this quieter residential area where you can actually get some sleep. The Thames Path is just down the road too, perfect for those morning runs or evening strolls along the river.

The room design really shows off that “concept hotel” approach they’re going for. Everything feels deliberately chosen — from the lighting to the way they’ve maximized the space without making it feel cramped. The beds are properly comfortable (I’m talking about that sweet spot where you don’t sink too deep but still feel supported), and the bathrooms are surprisingly spacious for London standards. What caught my attention was how they’ve managed to create this calm, almost zen-like atmosphere despite being on a fairly busy road.

The on-site restaurant serves up decent modern British fare — nothing groundbreaking, but solid food that hits the spot after a long day exploring the city. Breakfast is actually worth getting up for, which isn’t something I say lightly. They’ve got a good selection without going overboard, and the coffee is properly strong. The spa facilities are compact but well-maintained, perfect for unwinding after walking around London all day. There’s also parking available, which honestly feels like winning the lottery in this part of town.

  Last time we had been in Luma was 2019. Very nice hotel in general. The only thing changed is the grab and go breakfast that was included in the price and does not exist anymore.

  Really enjoyed staying at this Hotel! The beds were much bigger than expected and also very comfy and cozy. The whole place has an amazing atmosphere to it and the staff was lovely too. Also I liked that every time that we left the room we would find it clean and tidy up. The location is nice depending where you have to go, I had two concerts at the Eventim Apollo so it was perfect, but I also was able to go to London Center with just a 40 minutes ride using the metro which you can find right outside the hotel.
