What I really appreciate is how well-connected it is — the transport links mean you can be in central London in about 20 minutes, but you get to retreat to this much calmer pocket of the city.

The Room Experience

The room I stayed in had floor-to-ceiling windows that made the whole space feel massive, even though it wasn’t particularly huge. The design strikes this nice balance between modern luxury and actual comfort — you know how some high-end places can feel a bit cold? This doesn’t have that problem. The bed was genuinely excellent (I’m picky about mattresses), and the bathroom had one of those rainfall showers that actually works properly. Small detail, but the blackout curtains are proper blackout curtains, which matters more than you’d think when you’re trying to sleep off jet lag.

The breakfast buffet is actually worth getting up for, which says something coming from someone who usually just grabs coffee and runs. They’ve got the usual suspects but done really well — proper smoked salmon, fresh pastries that taste like they were made that morning, and coffee that doesn’t taste like it’s been sitting around for hours. The restaurant serves dinner too, and while I only ate there once, the food was solid without being pretentious. There’s also a fitness center that’s better equipped than most hotel gyms, and the spa treatments are genuinely relaxing rather than just expensive.

  I really enjoyed my stay here, the hotel is very beautiful and cozy. It has a modern and luxurious design and the staff are extremely friendly and helpful.
