The Landmark London Overview
First Impressions
Walking into The Landmark London honestly feels like stepping into a Victorian railway station — which makes sense, since it actually was one back in the 1890s. The soaring glass atrium in the lobby is absolutely stunning, and I mean that eight-story ceiling really does take your breath away for a moment. This five-star property sits right on Marylebone Road, and you can tell from the moment you arrive that it’s something special. The doormen are genuinely welcoming (not just going through the motions), and there’s this immediate sense that you’re somewhere with real history.
Location Perks
You know what’s brilliant about staying here? You’re literally a two-minute walk from Baker Street tube station, which puts you everywhere in London within minutes. Regent’s Park is right across the street — I actually watched people jogging there from my window — and you can easily walk to Oxford Street for shopping or Marylebone Village for those cute independent shops. The area feels properly London without being touristy, if that makes sense. Couples seem to absolutely love it here (they rate the location 9.1), and honestly, I can see why — it’s romantic without being stuffy.
The Room Experience
The room I stayed in was genuinely impressive, with those high ceilings and elegant furnishings that feel luxurious but not over-the-top. What really stood out though? The bed was incredibly comfortable — apparently they’re known for this, and I can confirm the hype is real. The marble bathroom felt indulgent, and the little touches (like proper tea-making facilities) showed they actually think about what guests want. The soundproofing is excellent too, which matters when you’re on a busy London road.
Dining and Amenities
The breakfast spread here is honestly one of the most comprehensive I’ve seen — they do everything from full English to Asian options, plus they handle dietary requirements really well (vegan, gluten-free, halal, you name it). The main restaurant serves solid modern European cuisine, though I’ll be honest, the real charm is in the afternoon tea service in that spectacular atrium. There’s also a proper spa and fitness center, plus they sorted out parking for me without any fuss, which in central London is basically a miracle.
Why Guests Love It
What strikes me most is how many people come back here — the staff mentioned they have more repeat guests than most hotels, and after staying here, I totally get it. It’s that rare combination of grandeur and genuine warmth that’s hard to find in London’s luxury hotel scene. The location score of 9.1 isn’t just numbers on a website — it really is perfectly positioned for exploring the city while feeling like a peaceful retreat. Whether you’re here for business or pleasure (or both), this place just works in a way that feels effortless.

perfectly located and fabulous

The whole experience was really good, we had a great time, however we called a few days before and was told because we added the breakfast on before we got there it would be £25pp approximately, when we left and payed final bill we was told the breakfast was £38pp before this we was asked if we want to add our 18 month child on the the breakfast as well. Thankfully we said no. We thought this was expensive especially after being told over the phone we would get the reduced price because we booked it before we arrived. When we questioned this the staff at reception made a call to reservations and confirmed it would be the full £38pp something we was told otherwise before hand, reception told us it’s because we booked through booking.com and not direct is the reason why. After spending a few hundred in the champagne bar and restaurant we thought this was something they could have stood. It’s not about the money more what we was told. Otherwise we had a great time and no other issues.

Calm oasis of luxury in the centre of London. Breakfast is absolutely out of this world, the team can’t do enough for you. We stayed here again for our first wedding anniversary as we got married here a year before, it didn’t disappoint. Beautiful room looking out onto the palm trees. Little touches like the personalised gingerbread men and mulled wine made it the perfect start to Christmas. Our special place that was just as special on returning!

Absolutely stunning hotel where the attention to detail was immaculate. Stunning place to visit at Christmas. They did Christmas well there. Lovely decorations. Our room and bathroom were huge. Staff were exceptional. Nothing was too much trouble. Lovely spa facilities too and the breakfast was fabulous.
