Plus, there’s parking available right at the hotel, which is honestly a godsend if you’re driving in London.

The room itself follows Aloft’s signature style — clean lines, that purple accent lighting, and a bed that’s genuinely comfortable. I’ve stayed at quite a few hotels where “comfy beds” is just marketing speak, but this place actually delivers on that promise. The tech setup is solid too, with plenty of USB ports and a decent workspace if you need to catch up on emails. The bathroom is compact but well-designed, and you know what? Sometimes that’s all you need.

  We were attending an event at the Excel and the location was very good for that. The room was a good size, though my friend and I had to book a "family" room in order to have separate beds. The room was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed. We also had breakfast at the hotel which had a decent selection at the buffet. The staff were very helpful.
