Hotel Description
You know what caught me off guard about this place? The moment you step into the lobby at 10 Richmond Mews, it doesn’t feel like you’re about to enter some cramped London rental. I mean, Soho lofts can be hit or miss – you’re either getting something genuinely special or paying premium prices for a glorified studio with exposed brick. This one’s definitely the former.
The apartment itself is honestly impressive. Three proper bedrooms (not those fake “bedrooms” that are basically closets with a bed shoved in), and the office space actually works if you need to get some remote work done. The two bathrooms are a godsend when you’re traveling with a group – no more awkward morning queues. What really sold me though was how they’ve managed to keep that industrial loft vibe without sacrificing comfort. High ceilings, original features, but also proper heating and modern appliances that actually work. The kitchen’s well-equipped too, which matters more than you’d think when you’re staying somewhere for more than a couple nights.
Location-wise, you’re right in the heart of Soho but on a quieter mews, so you get the energy without the constant street noise. Westminster Borough means you’re walking distance to basically everything – Tottenham Court Road tube is maybe five minutes away, and you can easily wander over to Covent Garden or Oxford Street without dealing with transport. I actually found myself just walking everywhere, which in London is saying something. The neighborhood has that perfect mix of tourists and locals, so you’ll find proper coffee shops alongside the trendy spots that charge £12 for avocado toast. Fair warning though – weekends can get pretty lively around here, especially Friday and Saturday nights when the Soho crowd is out in full force. It’s part of the charm, but if you’re a light sleeper, pack some earplugs.
The 9.1 rating makes sense once you’ve stayed here. Check-in was smooth (they actually respond to messages quickly, which isn’t always a given with these rental properties), and the space was exactly as advertised – no nasty surprises or “creative photography” situations. Is it cheap? Definitely not, but for what you’re getting in this part of London, it feels fair. The office space alone probably saves you from having to work out of expensive cafes all week, and having proper bedrooms means everyone actually gets decent sleep. Plus there’s something satisfying about having a proper home base in Soho rather than being stuck in some generic hotel near Paddington.
