Argo Hotel – Kings Cross Overview

First Impressions

Walking up to Argo Hotel – Kings Cross on Argyle Square, you immediately get that classic London townhouse vibe — you know, the kind where Georgian architecture meets modern practicality. It’s a three-star property that doesn’t try to be something it’s not, which I actually appreciate. The building sits on this lovely garden square in Camden, and honestly, the location alone makes it worth considering if you’re planning to explore London properly. The hotel maintains high standards across all its facilities and services.

Location Magic

Here’s what I love about this spot — you’re literally minutes from Kings Cross St. Pancras, which means the Eurostar, six Tube lines, and basically anywhere you want to go in the city. But here’s the thing couples seem to figure out quickly (they rate the location 9.2, which is pretty impressive): Argyle Square itself is this quiet, tree-lined oasis that feels worlds away from the chaos of the main stations. You get all the connectivity without the constant noise and crowds right outside your window. The proximity to transport hubs makes it ideal for business and leisure travelers alike.

The Room Experience

The room are what you’d expect from a well-run three-star in this part of town — clean, functional, and sized appropriately for London standards (meaning, well, cozy). Each room I’ve seen has been recently updated with decent Wi-Fi and modern bathrooms, offering practical comfort for your stay. What works here is the attention to basics done right — good lighting, comfortable beds, and windows that actually open to let in some fresh air from the square. The thoughtful design ensures a pleasant experience throughout your visit.

Breakfast & Practical Bits

The breakfast setup is pretty straightforward — they do both continental and buffet options, which gives you some flexibility depending on whether you’re rushing off to catch a train or planning a leisurely morning. I mean, it’s not going to win any awards, but there’s something satisfying about a proper English breakfast before heading out to explore Camden Market or taking that short walk to the British Library. The staff generally knows their stuff about getting around the area, which comes in handy more often than you’d think. Their local knowledge enhances your overall experience.

Why Guests Love It

Look, this isn’t the fanciest hotel in London, but it gets the fundamentals right in a way that matters. The location score of 9.2 tells the real story — you’re perfectly positioned to experience London like a local while still being steps away from major transport links. Couples especially seem to appreciate how the quiet square gives them a peaceful base while keeping everything accessible. It’s the kind of place where you spend your days exploring the city and come back to a comfortable, no-fuss room that just works. The hotel delivers reliable service and genuine hospitality.

Apartments in London suit remote teams with Georgian bay windows, fast fibre, and shared studios overlooking courtyards.
