Belgravia Apartments

You know what struck me first about Belgravia Apartments? It’s actually on this quiet residential street that feels worlds away from the tourist chaos, but you’re literally a five-minute walk from Victoria Station. I mean, Lower Belgrave Street is one of those proper London addresses that sounds fancy but doesn’t feel stuffy – it’s got that lived-in neighborhood vibe where you’ll see locals walking their dogs and grabbing coffee at the corner shop.

The apartments themselves are honestly quite impressive for a four-star place. They’ve got this smart setup where you get proper apartment living – I’m talking full kitchens, separate bedrooms, actual living spaces – without sacrificing hotel services. The building has character too, one of those classic white stucco Victorian terraces that Belgravia is famous for, though they’ve clearly updated everything inside. What I really appreciated was how quiet it gets at night (rare for central London), probably because you’re tucked away from the main roads but still close enough that you can hear the distant hum of the city. Check-in was surprisingly smooth – none of that awkward apartment key exchange you sometimes get with serviced places.

Location-wise, this is where it gets interesting. Sure, everyone knows Belgravia is posh, but staying here actually gives you this perfect base for exploring different sides of London. You’ve got Buckingham Palace and all that royal stuff within walking distance, but honestly what I loved more was being able to cut through to Pimlico for dinner (try the gastropubs on Warwick Way) or hop over to Chelsea for weekend browsing. The area around Elizabeth Street is fantastic for that proper London shopping experience – independent boutiques, cheese shops, places that have been family-run for decades. And here’s a local tip: the number 38 bus stops right at the end of the street and takes you straight through the heart of London for the price of a regular bus fare. Parking is typically London difficult around here, but if you’re coming by car, there are a few residents’ parking spots nearby – just don’t expect miracles. The 8.4 rating makes total sense to me; it’s not trying to be the Ritz, but it delivers exactly what it promises with a bit of personality thrown in. I’d definitely stay again, especially if I was in London for more than just a quick weekend.
