I mean, you can literally stroll to Buckingham Palace in about ten minutes, but more importantly (at least for me), there’s a fantastic little Waitrose just around the corner on Warwick Way that saved me countless times when I needed proper coffee or a decent breakfast. The area gets busy during the day with tourists heading to the palace, but evenings are surprisingly peaceful – something about the residential nature of these garden squares just absorbs all that central London chaos.

The apartment itself feels more like staying at a well-organized friend’s place than a typical hotel room. Everything works properly – the shower actually has decent pressure, the kitchen is equipped enough that you could cook a real meal if you wanted to, and there’s proper storage space for your stuff. Sure, it’s a 4-star place with a 7 rating, so it’s not going to blow your mind with luxury touches, but that’s sort of the point. It’s comfortable and functional without any pretense. I did notice the building can get a bit echoey in the hallways (those Victorian conversions often do), but once you’re inside with the door closed, it’s properly quiet. Check-in was straightforward too – none of that awkward waiting around in a lobby situation since it’s apartment-style. Just grab your keys and you’re sorted. If you’re looking for somewhere that gives you a real taste of London living rather than the standard hotel experience, this place delivers on that front.
