CityStay Albert Apartments in Hendon NW4 Overview
First Impressions
When I first pulled up to CityStay Albert Apartments in Hendon NW4, I’ll be honest — it’s not the flashiest building you’ll see. But you know what caught my attention immediately? The fact that I could actually park right there without circling the block for twenty minutes, which in London feels like winning the lottery. This four-star property sits quietly on Albert Road, and there’s something refreshing about finding a place that doesn’t scream for attention but delivers where it counts.
The Hendon Advantage
Hendon gets overlooked by a lot of tourists, but I actually think that’s part of its charm. You’re in Zone 3, which means you can get into central London without the insane prices of staying in Zone 1. The Northern Line runs straight through — I timed it, and you can be at Camden in about 15 minutes, Leicester Square in maybe 25. What I really appreciated was walking around the neighborhood in the evening; it feels residential and safe, with actual locals going about their business instead of crowds of tourists taking selfies every ten feet.
The Apartment Experience
The apartment I stayed in was genuinely spacious — not that “spacious for London” thing where you can barely open a suitcase. I mean actually roomy, with a proper living area and a kitchen that’s fully equipped. The room had a comfortable bed and decent storage, plus the whole place felt clean and well-maintained. Honestly, having that kitchen made such a difference; I could grab groceries from the Tesco down the road and actually cook breakfast instead of paying £15 for toast and coffee somewhere.
Practical Perks
The free parking situation is genuinely brilliant — I can’t stress this enough if you’re driving in London. Most places either don’t have it or charge you an arm and a leg for the privilege. The WiFi worked perfectly for video calls (I had to take a few work meetings), and the whole building felt secure with proper key card access. Small thing, but the washing machine in the unit was a lifesaver for a longer stay. You don’t realize how much you miss doing laundry until you’re on day six of the same jeans.
Why Guests Love It
I can see why couples rate this place so highly — there’s something nice about having your own space rather than being crammed into a tiny hotel room where you’re tripping over each other’s luggage. The location strikes that sweet spot between being accessible to everything London offers while giving you a break from the constant hustle. Plus, when you factor in the money you’ll save on parking and being able to cook some meals, it actually makes the whole London experience more affordable. It’s not trying to be the fanciest place in the city, but it nails the things that actually matter when you’re staying somewhere for more than just sleeping.

Area was good. The lounge area was a bit small but manageable.

The apartment was comfortable, clean and tidy and had the personal elements such as books and ornaments that made it feel homely, rare in a rental property!
The kitchen, although a bit tired, was functional and had ample kitchenware.
Beds were comfortable and for our group, women of a certain age, the toilet on each floor was a godsend.
Shops, buses and Hendon Central tube were all under a mile away so easy to walk to (for us) in order to visit other areas of London.Marlena from United Kingdom (8/10)
