Courthouse Hotel London Overview

First Impressions

Walking into Courthouse Hotel London on Great Marlborough Street, you immediately sense you’re somewhere special. This five-star property sits right in the thick of things — I mean, you’re literally steps from Oxford Circus and all that Fitzrovia buzz. The building itself has this gorgeous Art Deco character that somehow feels both grand and intimate at the same time. What struck me most was how they’ve managed to create this sense of luxury without being stuffy about it.

Prime Soho Location

Honestly, the location is pretty much perfect if you want to be in central London. You’re sandwiched between Oxford Street’s shopping madness and Soho’s restaurant scene — which means you can grab dinner at some incredible spot, then walk back through those charming side streets. Couples absolutely love it here (they rate the location 9.7, which makes total sense), and I can see why. You’ve got Regent Street right there, plus all those hidden gems tucked away in the surrounding alleys that only locals really know about.

The Room Experience

The room I stayed in had this sophisticated, almost theatrical feel — fitting for a place that used to be connected to the old Marlborough Street Magistrates’ Court. The design strikes this nice balance between contemporary comfort and historical character. You know what I really appreciated? The attention to detail in the furnishings and how everything felt genuinely luxurious without being over-the-top. The windows actually open too, which is rarer than you’d think in central London hotels. Every element has been thoughtfully curated to enhance your comfort and enjoyment.

Dining and Amenities

The breakfast situation is solid — they do both the full English/Irish spread and a proper buffet setup. I actually found myself lingering over coffee longer than usual because the restaurant area has this relaxed vibe that doesn’t rush you out the door. The service throughout the hotel feels personal rather than corporate, which probably explains why they have so many repeat guests. There’s also decent parking options nearby, though honestly, you won’t need a car much from this spot. The amenities are thoughtfully designed to meet every guest’s needs.

Why Guests Love It

What really sets this place apart is how it manages to feel like a proper luxury hotel while still being approachable. The staff genuinely seem to care about making your stay work, and the location means you can walk to most of what you’d want to see in London. I think the high number of returning guests says it all — people come back because it delivers that rare combination of excellent service, prime location, and genuine character. It’s the kind of place that makes you feel like you’re experiencing London rather than just visiting it. The overall experience creates lasting memories for visitors.

The luxury concierge service in London secures Royal Opera boxes, countryside heli-tastings, and after-hours museum soirees.
