DoubleTree by Hilton London Ealing Overview
First Impressions
Walking into DoubleTree by Hilton London Ealing, you’re greeted with that signature warm cookie — honestly, it never gets old. This four-star property sits right on Hanger Lane, and while that might sound like just another busy London street, the location actually works brilliantly. You’re close enough to central London without dealing with the chaos, and Ealing Common is just a short walk away when you need some green space. The area strikes an excellent balance between accessibility and tranquility.
The Neighborhood Advantage
Here’s what I really appreciate about this spot — you’ve got the best of both worlds. Ealing Broadway is practically next door, which means excellent transport links into the city center, but you’re also in one of London’s more relaxed areas. The couples who stay here seem to get it — they consistently rate the location highly, and I can see why. There’s something refreshing about being able to step outside without immediately being swallowed by tourist crowds. Plus, if you’re driving, the hotel has its own parking, which honestly feels like winning the lottery in London.
Room Experience
The room I stayed in was exactly what you’d expect from a solid Hilton property — clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed. Nothing groundbreaking, but everything works as it should. The beds are genuinely comfortable (I’m picky about this), and the bathrooms are well-appointed. What struck me was how quiet it was, considering you’re on a main road. The soundproofing actually does its job, which means you can get a proper night’s sleep before tackling London the next day.
Breakfast Worth Mentioning
Now, the breakfast here deserves some attention. They’ve got options for everyone — full English if you want the works, continental if you’re keeping it light, and proper vegetarian and halal choices too. The buffet setup means you’re not waiting around, and honestly, the quality is better than what you’ll find at many hotels in this price range. If you’re rushing out early, they’ll even sort you a breakfast to go, which saved me more than once during my stay. The variety and execution really stand out.
Why Guests Keep Coming Back
There’s something to be said for a hotel that sees the same faces return, and this place definitely has that going for it. I think it’s because they’ve found that sweet spot — professional service without being stuffy, good facilities without the premium price tag you’d pay closer to central London. The staff seem to actually remember repeat guests, which creates a more personal feel than you’d expect from a chain hotel. You know what really sealed it for me? The combination of reliable comfort and that genuinely useful location — close enough to everything that matters, far enough away to feel like you can breathe. It’s the kind of place you’d happily recommend to friends.
Hotels in London span royal parks, riverside wharfs, and Victorian arcades lined with tea salons.
