Epsilon Hotel Overview

First Impressions

Walking up to Epsilon Hotel on Romford Road, you’ll notice it’s not trying to be something it isn’t — and honestly, that’s refreshing. This three-star property sits comfortably in Stratford, and while it won’t blow you away with grand lobbies or marble everything, there’s something genuinely welcoming about the place. The staff actually remember your name after a day or two, which tells you something about the kind of operation they’re running here.

Location & Getting Around

Here’s what I love about staying in Stratford — you’re close enough to central London without paying those insane Zone 1 prices. The Westfield shopping center is practically next door, which means you’ve got everything from Waitrose to Zara within walking distance. Stratford station is about a 10-minute walk, and from there you can be in Liverpool Street in under 15 minutes. Couples seem to really get this location (they rate it 8.7, apparently), and I can see why — it’s got that sweet spot of accessibility without the tourist chaos.

The Room Experience

My room was clean and functional — nothing fancy, but everything worked properly. The bed was actually comfortable, which you can’t always count on at this price point. What surprised me was how quiet it was at night, considering you’re on a main road. The Wi-Fi held up well enough for video calls, and there’s decent storage space if you’re staying more than a couple nights. The bathroom’s compact but well-designed, with a shower that has proper water pressure.

Practical Considerations

One thing that struck me was how many guests seemed to be returning visitors — the front desk mentioned they have more repeat customers than most places, and you can tell. There’s this easy familiarity between staff and guests that makes the whole experience feel less transactional. Parking can be a bit tricky on the street, but there are options nearby if you’re driving. The hotel doesn’t have a restaurant, but honestly, with Westfield so close and plenty of local spots, you’re not exactly stuck for food options.

Why Guests Love It

Look, this isn’t a place that’s going to wow you with amenities or Instagram-worthy interiors. What it does well is provide solid, reliable accommodation in a genuinely useful location. The fact that people keep coming back says everything — when you find a place that delivers exactly what it promises without any nasty surprises, that’s worth something. For the price point and location, especially if you’re planning to spend most of your time exploring London rather than lounging in your hotel, Epsilon Hotel makes a lot of sense. It’s the kind of place where you sleep well, start your day without stress, and don’t feel like you’ve been taken for a ride.

the value for the location of the hotel was incredible, just a 10 min walk from the tube. the facilities were great, and the breakfast was nice, really good value and they cook it fresh there and then. I'm nor sure the name of the member of staff that was working there on the day we checked out but she was responsible for breakfast and the reception desk by herself and was working incredibly hard.
