Eurotraveller Hotel – Premier – Tower Bridge Overview

First Impressions

The Eurotraveller Hotel – Premier – Tower Bridge sits on Old Kent Road in London, and honestly, it’s one of those three-star places that just gets the basics right. When I walked in, the lobby felt clean and modern without trying too hard — you know what I mean? It’s not flashy, but there’s something reassuring about a hotel that knows exactly what it is. The staff at check-in were genuinely friendly, not that rehearsed hotel politeness you sometimes get.

Location & Getting Around

Now, Old Kent Road isn’t exactly central London, but that’s actually part of the appeal. You’re in Southwark, which means you can walk to Borough Market in about fifteen minutes (trust me, do this for breakfast at least once). The Elephant & Castle tube station is close enough, and from there you can get pretty much anywhere in the city. What I really liked was how this area feels like actual London — not the touristy bits, but where people live and work. The neighborhood offers genuine character and authentic local experiences.

The Room Experience

My room was compact but thoughtfully laid out — they’ve clearly put effort into maximizing the space without making it feel cramped. The bed was surprisingly comfortable, and the shower had proper water pressure, which honestly makes or breaks a stay for me. The windows actually open (you’d be amazed how rare this is), and while the view isn’t spectacular, there’s something nice about getting fresh air. The Wi-Fi worked well throughout my stay, which matters when you’re trying to plan your days out.

Breakfast & Dining

The continental buffet breakfast is served in a bright restaurant area that feels more spacious than you’d expect. It’s not elaborate — think cereals, pastries, fruit, and the usual hot options — but everything was fresh and well-maintained. I mean, you’re not going to write home about the scrambled eggs, but they do the job perfectly well. The coffee was actually decent, which surprised me given how many hotels get this wrong. The dining setup encourages guests to linger and enjoy their morning.

Why Guests Love It

What really struck me about this place is how it works especially well for couples — there’s something cozy about the whole setup that makes it feel more intimate than your typical budget hotel. The parking situation is manageable if you’re driving, though I’d recommend the tube for getting around central London. You’re paying for a clean, comfortable base that doesn’t pretend to be something it’s not, and sometimes that’s exactly what you need. The area has some great pubs within walking distance, and you’ll find yourself in proper London neighborhoods rather than tourist central — which, depending on what you’re after, might be exactly perfect.
