Holiday Inn London-Bexley, an IHG Hotel Overview

First Impressions

The Holiday Inn London-Bexley, an IHG Hotel sits right at the Black Prince Interchange, which honestly sounds more intimidating than it actually is. When I first pulled up, I was surprised by how modern and well-maintained everything looked — this isn’t your typical roadside chain hotel. The building has that clean, contemporary feel that IHG has been pushing lately, and you can tell they’ve put some real investment into this four-star property. The private parking situation is genuinely stress-free, which anyone who’s driven around London will appreciate.

Location Perks

Here’s what I didn’t expect: Bexley is actually a smart base if you want to explore both London and Kent without the central London price tag. You’re close enough to Dartford and the M25 that getting around is pretty straightforward, but far enough out that you’re not dealing with the chaos. The area feels more like a proper English suburb — tree-lined streets, local pubs, that sort of thing. Couples seem to really get this location (they rate it nearly 9 out of 10), and I can see why. It’s got that sweet spot vibe where you feel like you’re experiencing real England, not just tourist London.

The Room Experience

My room was exactly what you’d hope for from a well-run Holiday Inn — clean lines, comfortable bed, and everything actually worked. The bathrooms are modern with good water pressure, and there’s enough space to spread out your stuff without feeling cramped. What impressed me was the attention to detail — proper blackout curtains, multiple charging points, and air conditioning that you can actually control. The soundproofing is solid too, which matters when you’re near a major interchange.

Breakfast Worth Mentioning

I’ll be honest, hotel breakfasts can be hit or miss, but they’ve really thought this through. The buffet setup covers everything from full English to continental options, plus they actually do proper vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free choices — not just sad afterthoughts. The restaurant area gets good morning light, and the staff keeps everything well-stocked even during busy periods. You know what really stood out? The coffee was actually decent, which feels like a small miracle at chain hotels sometimes.

Why Guests Love It

There’s something to be said for a place that gets the basics absolutely right. The fact that they have so many repeat guests tells you everything — people come back because it delivers on its promises without any drama. The staff genuinely seems to care about making your stay smooth, and there’s none of that corporate stiffness you sometimes get with big chains. Whether you’re using it as a London base, exploring Kent, or just need a reliable overnight stop, this Holiday Inn gets it right. It’s the kind of place where you can focus on why you’re traveling instead of worrying about where you’re staying.

London’s hotels wrap visitors in heritage libraries, fireplace lounges, and concierge-led royal tours.

Reviews of Holiday Inn London-Bexley, an IHG Hotel

  • Kevin from United Kingdom (9/10)

The staff were very helpful and good at their roles. Ensuring everything was at a high standard.
The room was comfortable and clean.
Food was really good I had a mixed grill on the first evening and my wife had the lasagne, we both had the fish and chips on the second night. There was no process to indicate to the staff that we had booked inclusive evening meals with the room which caused some confusion as I was presented with the food bill but it was sorted out by the manager. The process needs to be looked at but I expect very few people book their rooms with meals included. However there is limited,if anywhere, locally to eat because of the location of the hotel.
