The bathrooms are well-designed too, with those rainfall showers that make you want to stay in longer than you should.

Location-wise, this place is honestly brilliant for exploring London. You’ve got the Natural History Museum practically on your doorstep – I could see people queuing from my window some mornings. Hyde Park’s right there when you need to escape the tourist crowds, and if you walk five minutes toward Brompton Road, you’ll hit some fantastic restaurants that aren’t completely overrun. The area gets busy during museum hours, obviously, but evenings and early mornings are surprisingly peaceful. Parking’s pretty much impossible around here (welcome to central London), but with South Ken tube literally around the corner, you really don’t need a car anyway. I found myself walking to Harrods, Covent Garden, even Oxford Street when I felt ambitious – everything’s closer than you think. The 8.1 rating feels about right to me; it’s solid, comfortable, and well-located without being flashy or trying too hard.
