The room I stayed in had this perfect mix of old-world charm and modern comfort — exposed beams overhead, but thankfully a proper shower and reliable WiFi. What really stood out though were the beds. I’m usually pretty skeptical when hotels boast about their bedding, but guests consistently rave about how comfortable they are here, and they’re not wrong. The mattress was firm but not hard, and the linens felt genuinely high-quality. The windows looked out over the manor’s gardens, and honestly, waking up to that view instead of a parking lot or airport terminal made all the difference.

Dining & Atmosphere

The restaurant here — Mulberry — actually surprised me. I wasn’t expecting much from a hotel dining room, but the menu focuses on modern British cuisine with ingredients sourced locally when possible. The dining room itself has this lovely conservatory feel, with big windows overlooking the gardens. Breakfast was solid too, though not groundbreaking — but when you’re catching an early flight, having a proper meal without rushing into town is exactly what you need. The service throughout felt genuinely warm, not that polished-but-distant thing you sometimes get at chain hotels.

  Absolutely fabulous stay. My flight was cancelled and I had to book last minute stay and I couldn't choose better. Wonderful location just 7 min from airport, beautiful gardens and Christmas decorations. It had feeling like from a movie Holidays and I loved every minute of it.
