Langshott Manor – Luxury Hotel Gatwick Overview
First Impressions
You know what hits you first when you pull up to Langshott Manor – Luxury Hotel Gatwick? It’s not what you’d expect from a hotel near an airport. This four-star Tudor-style manor house sits on Ladbroke Road like it’s been waiting centuries for you to discover it — which, honestly, it sort of has. The building dates back to the 16th century, and walking through those heavy wooden doors feels like stepping into a different world entirely. I mean, you’re literally minutes from one of the busiest airports in Europe, but the moment you’re inside, all that noise just… disappears.
Location & Getting Around
Here’s the thing about Horley — most people just pass through on their way to Gatwick, but this little corner is actually pretty special. The manor sits on 22 acres of grounds, so you’ve got proper countryside views despite being so close to the airport. What I love is that couples absolutely rave about this spot (they give it a 9.3 rating), and after staying here, I get why. There’s free private parking right on-site, which is honestly a godsend when you’re dealing with early morning flights. Plus, you’re close enough to walk to Horley town center if you want to grab something quick, but far enough away that it feels like a proper retreat.
The Room Experience
The room I stayed in had this perfect mix of old-world charm and modern comfort — exposed beams overhead, but thankfully a proper shower and reliable WiFi. What really stood out though were the beds. I’m usually pretty skeptical when hotels boast about their bedding, but guests consistently rave about how comfortable they are here, and they’re not wrong. The mattress was firm but not hard, and the linens felt genuinely high-quality. The windows looked out over the manor’s gardens, and honestly, waking up to that view instead of a parking lot or airport terminal made all the difference.
Dining & Atmosphere
The restaurant here — Mulberry — actually surprised me. I wasn’t expecting much from a hotel dining room, but the menu focuses on modern British cuisine with ingredients sourced locally when possible. The dining room itself has this lovely conservatory feel, with big windows overlooking the gardens. Breakfast was solid too, though not groundbreaking — but when you’re catching an early flight, having a proper meal without rushing into town is exactly what you need. The service throughout felt genuinely warm, not that polished-but-distant thing you sometimes get at chain hotels.
Why Guests Love It
What makes this place work is how it solves the airport hotel problem without feeling like an airport hotel. You get the convenience — seriously, you’re about 10 minutes from Gatwick — but you also get to spend your last night somewhere that feels special rather than utilitarian. Recent guests consistently rate the location highly (9.2 out of 10), and I think it’s because you’re getting the best of both worlds. Whether you’re starting a trip and want to begin on a high note, or ending one and need somewhere peaceful to decompress, Langshott Manor delivers on both fronts. It’s the kind of place that makes you wish you had more time to just sit in those gardens with a book.

Absolutely fabulous stay. My flight was cancelled and I had to book last minute stay and I couldn't choose better. Wonderful location just 7 min from airport, beautiful gardens and Christmas decorations. It had feeling like from a movie Holidays and I loved every minute of it.
Greatest thanks to Natalie from Guest Services and all reservation team for helping me out in amending my stay and lovely free upgrade, arrangement of taxi and warm welcomes during storm. I will definitely come back for longer stay, and all thanks to Natalie.
