I mean, the Tube’s even closer – Lancaster Gate station is practically around the corner, though honestly, I found myself walking everywhere because you’re positioned perfectly between Notting Hill and Marble Arch. There’s this little Tesco Express about two blocks away that becomes your best friend, and some surprisingly decent Lebanese place tucked away on Sussex Gardens that the locals actually eat at. The 7.1 rating makes sense when you think about it – it’s not trying to be the Ritz, but it delivers exactly what it promises without any weird surprises. Check-in was straightforward, the WiFi actually works (tested it on video calls), and there’s enough kitchen space to make proper coffee in the morning. Sometimes that’s all you really need in London, especially when you’re paying reasonable money to sleep somewhere this close to everything that matters.
