London House Hotel Overview
First Impressions
Walking up to London House Hotel on Kensington Gardens Square, you immediately get that “proper London” feeling — you know, the kind where you’re staying in an actual Georgian townhouse rather than some glass tower. It’s a three-star property that honestly punches above its weight, especially when you realize you’re basically a stone’s throw from Hyde Park. The building itself has that classic white stucco facade that screams Bayswater, and there’s something quite charming about checking into a place that feels more like a well-appointed home than a corporate hotel.
The Neighborhood Advantage
Here’s what I love about this spot in London — you’re in Bayswater, which means you get all the benefits of being central without the chaos of Oxford Street. Kensington Gardens is literally across the road (and I mean literally), so your morning jog or evening stroll is sorted. The Paddington area is buzzing with life, but Kensington Gardens Square itself is surprisingly quiet for such a well-connected location. You’ve got Lancaster Gate tube station about a five-minute walk away, and honestly, getting anywhere in London from here is pretty straightforward.
The Room Experience
My room was what you’d expect from a converted townhouse — not huge, but thoughtfully laid out with decent storage and a window that actually opened (which, trust me, matters more than you think). The decor leans traditional without being stuffy, and the bed was genuinely comfortable. The bathroom was compact but functional, with a proper shower that had decent water pressure. What struck me most was how quiet everything was at night, despite being in central London — those thick Georgian walls really do their job.
Morning Fuel
The breakfast situation is pretty solid here — they do a buffet setup that covers all the basics without trying to be fancy about it. You’ll find your standard English breakfast items alongside continental options, and the coffee is actually drinkable (which isn’t always a given at this price point). The breakfast restaurant area feels a bit like someone’s dining room, which adds to that homey atmosphere I mentioned earlier. Nothing groundbreaking, but it’ll definitely set you up for a day of London exploring.
Why Guests Love It
What really makes this place work is that location-to-value ratio that’s getting harder to find in London. Couples seem particularly smitten with the area — and I get it, there’s something romantic about those tree-lined squares and being so close to the park. The staff genuinely seem to care about making your stay pleasant, and there’s adequate parking nearby if you’re brave enough to drive in London. It’s not trying to be the fanciest hotel in town, but for travelers who want a proper London base without breaking the bank, London House Hotel delivers exactly what it promises.

The location is excellent. It's just a few blocks from the Tube station (Baywater). There are plenty of pubs, restaurants, cafes, and bakeries about. It's very diverse. While the pubs have locals, it's a tourist area as there are lots of souvenir shops.
The staff of the hotel is excellent and very helpful. I liked them very much. They reserved a car for me in the morning to take me to the train station. So nice.Ognean from Romania (8/10)
