Luna And Simone Hotel Overview

First Impressions

Walking up to Luna And Simone Hotel on Belgrave Road, you immediately get that classic London townhouse vibe — you know, the kind where Victorian charm meets practical hospitality. It’s a three-star property that doesn’t try to be something it’s not, and honestly, that’s refreshing. The entrance feels welcoming without being fussy, and there’s something reassuring about a family-run hotel that’s been taking care of travelers for decades.

Location That Actually Matters

Here’s the thing about staying in London — location can make or break your trip, and this place absolutely nails it. You’re literally a two-minute walk from Victoria Station, which means the Gatwick Express, the Underground, and buses to everywhere are right there. I mean, couples rate the location 9.4 out of 10, and after staying here, I totally get why. You can walk to Buckingham Palace in about ten minutes, and Westminster Abbey is maybe fifteen minutes on foot. The neighborhood itself has that proper London residential feel — tree-lined streets, local pubs, and actual Londoners going about their day.

The Room Experience

The room I stayed in was exactly what you’d expect from a well-maintained London hotel — compact but thoughtfully arranged, with everything you actually need. The bed was comfortable (which matters more than fancy pillows, trust me), and the en-suite bathroom, while not huge, had good water pressure and stayed warm. What I appreciated was the attention to cleanliness and the little touches like proper tea-making facilities and decent Wi-Fi that actually worked throughout the building. The windows open properly too, which is surprisingly rare in central London hotels.

Daily Rhythms and Practical Bits

Breakfast happens in a cozy dining room that feels more like someone’s well-appointed home than a hotel restaurant. It’s a proper English breakfast if you want it, plus continental options that don’t feel like an afterthought. The staff — and this really stood out — seem to genuinely care about making sure you’re sorted. They’ll help with directions, restaurant recommendations, or just chat about what’s worth seeing. There’s no parking on-site (this is central London, after all), but they’ll point you toward nearby options if you’re brave enough to drive in the city.

Why Guests Love It

Look, this isn’t a place with a fancy spa or a rooftop bar — it’s something better. It’s a hotel that understands what travelers actually want: a clean, comfortable base in an unbeatable location with staff who know their stuff. The value proposition is solid, especially considering you’re staying in one of London’s most connected neighborhoods. You’ll spend your time exploring the city, not hanging around the hotel, and Luna And Simone gets that completely. It’s the kind of place you’d recommend to friends without any caveats — just a reliable, well-run hotel that does the basics exceptionally well.

Check-in and check-out were easy. The staff in the breakfast were very welcoming, friendly, and accommodating. They very kindly helped to tailor a nice sit-down breakfast with menu to fit our vegetarian preferences.

Cozy hotel in nice neighbourhood, 10 minute walking distance from Victoria station. The room was small and clean and the bathroom was a decent size. Perfect stay for a short trip. The owners were lovely, we had to leave rather early in the morning and as such were the first and only ones at breakfast, we had a nice chat and got some useful tips. The breakfast isn’t buffet style but „a la cart“, which we didn’t mind at all. You start of with orange juice and can decide between several cereals, after you get the main which had various options (Joghurt and banana/ham, eggs and beans/ham and tomato/boiled eggs,…), in addition you get toast with jam/Nutella/Butter and a hot drink. Loved the picture the hung in the breakfast room. We enjoyed our stay and would love to book again if we happen to go to London another time. It showed me that it’s worth to take the risk on smaller independent hotels vs. big chains, it felt very homey and comfortable.

  • Eleri from United Kingdom (9/10)

Friendly staff, but still professional. The beds were comfortable, we were able to open the windows and be cool at night. The hotel was quiet even though it was fully occupied. The breakfast service was excellent and the food well cooked. The location is very good with a frequent bus service outside the front door.
