You know what struck me first about this place? It’s actually in one of those classic white stucco Victorian terraces that make you feel like you’re in a proper London film – but without the cramped rooms you’d expect. The LUXstay2 apartment sits right on Hogarth Road, which honestly is one of those Earls Court streets that feels residential enough to escape the tourist chaos, but you’re still walking distance from everything that matters.

I mean, the space itself is what really won me over. When they say it sleeps eight, they’re not talking about people crammed on sofas – there’s actually room to breathe, which is pretty rare for London. The kitchen’s properly equipped too, not just a kettle and some sad plates. I ended up cooking quite a bit because, well, London restaurant prices, but also because the kitchen actually made you want to use it. The whole place has this clean, modern feel without being sterile – sort of like someone with good taste lives there, not a hotel decorator. Though I will say the Wi-Fi was a bit patchy in one of the back bedrooms, nothing terrible, just worth mentioning if you’re planning to work from there.

What I really appreciated was the location – Earls Court gets overlooked because it’s not as flashy as Notting Hill or as trendy as Shoreditch, but that’s exactly why it works. You’ve got the District and Piccadilly lines right there at Earls Court station (literally a three-minute walk), which means you’re twenty minutes from central London without paying central London accommodation prices. Plus there’s this brilliant little Lebanese place called Maroush just around the corner on Edgware Road that stays open late – saved us more than once after long days out. The area goes quiet at night too, which surprised me given how close you are to the main roads. Even with the windows open in summer, it wasn’t the kind of street noise that keeps you up. Actually, if you’re coming during festival season, you’re walking distance from the exhibition centers, which is pretty handy if that’s your thing. The whole setup just works – it’s one of those places where you settle in on the first day and immediately start planning your next London trip because you know you’ve found somewhere good.
