Hotel Description
You know what surprised me most about this place on Queen Anne Street? It’s actually below street level – hence the “lower ground” in the address – but somehow it doesn’t feel like you’re stuck in a basement. The light comes in really well, and honestly, being tucked away like that means you barely hear the London traffic, which is kind of miraculous when you’re this close to Oxford Street.
I mean, Marylebone is one of those neighborhoods that feels properly London without being touristy, and this apartment sits right in the sweet spot. You’re literally a two-minute walk from Bond Street tube (the one that connects to Oxford Circus), but Queen Anne Street itself is this lovely, quiet residential stretch with those classic Georgian facades. The apartment itself has that modern luxury feel – everything’s been done up nicely, good kitchen setup, comfortable bed, decent shower pressure (always important, right?). It’s genuinely spacious for a London one-bedroom, though I’d say it’s really best for a couple rather than trying to squeeze extra people in. The 8.7 rating makes sense to me – it’s not quite perfect (the WiFi was a bit patchy in spots, and check-in took longer than expected), but it’s definitely a solid choice.
What really sold me on the location was realizing how walkable everything is. Regent’s Park is about ten minutes north if you want some green space, and you can easily wander down to Selfridges or hop over to Fitzrovia for dinner without dealing with the tube. There’s a lovely little Waitrose practically around the corner on Wigmore Street, plus some genuinely good coffee shops that aren’t just tourist traps. The area gets busy during shopping hours – well, it’s central London – but evenings and early mornings are surprisingly peaceful. Parking is pretty much impossible unless you book a space ahead of time, but honestly, you won’t need a car here anyway. For the price point, you’re getting that rare combination of being central without feeling like you’re sleeping above a nightclub, and the apartment itself actually feels like someone’s home rather than a sterile hotel room. I’d definitely stay here again, especially if I wanted to feel settled in London rather than just passing through.
