Walking up to 3 Connaught Street, I was expecting just another generic London rental, but the Marble Arch Suite actually feels like someone’s elegant home that they happen to let travelers crash in. The Sweetstay folks have really nailed that sweet spot between boutique hotel vibes and apartment comfort – which honestly isn’t easy to pull off in this part of town.

The location is where this place really shines, and I mean beyond the obvious “it’s near Marble Arch” thing everyone mentions. You’re literally a two-minute walk from the tube, but here’s what the booking sites don’t tell you – you’re also ridiculously close to the quieter end of Oxford Street, where locals actually shop instead of fighting tourist crowds. Connaught Street itself is this lovely little stretch with proper neighborhood cafes and that Italian deli that does incredible sandwiches (trust me on this one). The flat sits in Tyburnia, which sounds fancy but really just means you get those gorgeous white Georgian buildings without the Mayfair price tags. I actually loved the morning walk to Hyde Park – it’s about five minutes through these tree-lined streets that feel worlds away from central London chaos.

What impressed me about the actual suite was how thoughtfully it’s set up. The space feels bigger than typical London accommodations because whoever designed it actually understands how people live and move around. The kitchen isn’t just for show – I mean, you can actually cook a proper meal without bumping into everything. The bathroom has one of those rainfall showers that doesn’t make you choose between water pressure and temperature, and honestly, after walking around London all day, that matters more than you’d think. The bed situation is solid too, none of that too-soft nonsense that leaves you feeling like you slept in quicksand. My only minor gripe? The Wi-Fi occasionally got a bit sketchy during peak evening hours, but nothing that would stop me from booking again. Check-in was refreshingly straightforward – none of that awkward key-juggling or hunting around for the right entrance that you get with some apartment rentals. The 8.8 rating makes total sense when you actually stay here; it’s that rare place that delivers on what it promises without any weird surprises or hidden disappointments.
