You know what struck me first about Mulberry Flat 3? It’s tucked away on this quiet residential street that honestly feels nothing like central London – until you realize you’re literally a five-minute walk from Angel station and suddenly everything clicks. I mean, Bowling Green Lane isn’t exactly famous, but that’s actually the point. You get this proper neighborhood feel while being ridiculously close to everything that matters.

The flat itself sits on the second floor of what’s clearly a converted Victorian building, and look – I’ll be straight with you – you’re dealing with typical London stairs (no lift), so pack light or embrace the workout. But once you’re up there, it’s genuinely impressive how much space they’ve managed to create. The bedroom’s got this lovely bay window that catches morning light beautifully, and the living area doesn’t feel cramped like so many London rentals do. The kitchen’s small but actually functional – I was able to make proper breakfast, not just toast and tea. There’s something refreshing about staying somewhere that feels like someone actually lives there rather than a sterile hotel room, you know?

What really sold me on the location though was discovering Chapel Market just around the corner – this brilliant little street market that runs Tuesday through Sunday, full of proper London character and decent coffee that won’t cost you fifteen quid. And honestly, being in Islington means you’re perfectly positioned for both the touristy bits (King’s Cross and Camden are right there) and the areas where Londoners actually hang out. The walk to Angel tube takes maybe four minutes, and from there you’re connected to basically everything. I found myself walking more than I expected too – Clerkenwell’s right there with all those gorgeous old pubs, and you can easily stroll down to Covent Garden if the weather’s decent. The neighborhood gets properly quiet at night, which was a pleasant surprise given how central you are. Sure, you’ll hear the occasional delivery truck in the morning (it’s London, after all), but nothing that’ll keep you up. City Living London seems to have their check-in process sorted – everything was smooth, they were responsive when I had questions, and the place was genuinely clean and well-maintained. For the price point and that 8.4 rating, it delivers exactly what it promises without any nasty surprises.
