Paddington has this interesting mix going on that I really appreciate. You’ve got the international crowd from the station, long-time locals who’ve seen the area transform, and young professionals who’ve discovered it’s actually quite livable here. The restaurant scene reflects this diversity — there’s everything from proper pub food to excellent Middle Eastern places within a few blocks. Sussex Gardens, just around the corner, has some surprisingly good independent spots that most tourists never find. The neighborhood truly rewards exploration.
