Here’s the thing about staying near Marble Arch — you’re basically in the sweet spot of central London. I mean, you can walk to Oxford Street in about three minutes (dangerous for your wallet, but incredibly convenient), and Hyde Park is literally across the street. What I love most is how you’re close enough to everything touristy, but Stanhope Place itself feels residential and quiet. The couples who stay here clearly get it — there’s something romantic about having your own little corner of Westminster while still being steps away from Speaker’s Corner and the buzz of the West End.

The Room Experience

The room I stayed in was compact but thoughtfully designed — typical London style where every square foot counts. The bed was comfortable enough, and honestly, the windows actually opened properly (you’d be surprised how rare that is in some London hotels). What struck me was how clean everything felt, from the bathroom fixtures to the carpeting. It’s not flashy, but there’s something reassuring about a place that clearly takes maintenance seriously. The heating worked well too, which matters more than you might think during those damp London evenings.

Breakfast & Dining

The breakfast setup actually impressed me more than I expected. They do a proper Full English that doesn’t feel like it came from a factory, plus they’ve got gluten-free options if you need them. The buffet style works well — you can grab something quick if you’re rushing off to catch the Changing of the Guard, or sit and plan your day over a proper cup of tea. I noticed they keep the coffee hot throughout the morning service, which sounds basic but you’d be amazed how many places get this wrong.

You’re paying three-star prices to stay in one of London’s most central neighborhoods, and the staff seems to understand that most guests are here to explore the city, not hang around the hotel lobby.   This is an amazing place to stay in London, family friendly, so close to Oxford Street with such a range of shops and just off Hyde park. 2 minutes from marble arch metro stop, 20 min walk to Buckingham palace. Well located and on a quiet street. Staff were helpful and friendly. We will be going back for sure.

  The location was excellent. The price was reasonable. The breakfast was good and the staff were pleasant.

  Location: excellent for the Hyde Park Winter Wonderland, also Marble Arch tube very near and walking distance from Paddington. Room was small (as expected, given the price) but had everything we needed. Towels were large and very soft. Bed was comfortable. Tea making facility was there. Breakfast in the morning was good and the staff, both in reception and at breakfast were friendly, polite and very helpful.
