The location is one of those Westminster spots that locals love but tourists somehow miss. You’re literally a five-minute walk from Victoria Station, which sounds touristy until you realize what that actually means – you can hop on the District line and be in South Kensington in ten minutes, or grab the Gatwick Express when you’re heading home. Saint George’s Drive itself is this quiet residential street that runs parallel to all the chaos, so you get the convenience without buses rumbling past your window at 6 AM. I mean, you’ll still hear some city noise (it’s London, after all), but nothing that kept me awake. The two bedrooms are genuinely spacious by London standards – like, you can actually walk around the bed without doing that sideways shuffle we’ve all mastered in tiny hotel rooms. Both bathrooms are modern and well-designed, though I’d say the master ensuite is definitely the winner if you’re traveling with someone and need to negotiate bathroom priorities.

What really sold me on this place was the attention to detail that you don’t usually get in short-term rentals. The kitchen actually has proper cooking equipment (not just a sad kettle and two mismatched mugs), and there’s decent storage space for groceries if you’re planning to stay more than a few nights. The living area feels like someone’s actual home rather than a sterile corporate setup – comfortable furniture, good lighting, windows that let in proper natural light. Check-in was refreshingly straightforward too, none of that “meet us at a random corner with three forms of ID” nonsense you sometimes get with apartment rentals. Parking is… well, it’s Westminster, so street parking is a nightmare and expensive, but there’s a decent car park about two blocks away if you’re driving. Honestly though, you probably won’t need a car from here – Pimlico shops are right around the corner, and you’ve got that whole stretch of restaurants and pubs along Warwick Way that locals actually frequent. The 8.6 rating makes total sense to me after staying here. It’s not perfect (the shower pressure could be stronger, and the walls aren’t exactly soundproof if your neighbors are having a party), but it genuinely feels like you’re living in London rather than just visiting it. For the price point and location, you’re getting something that actually justifies those four stars instead of just hoping you do.
