The Drayton Court Hotel Overview
First Impressions
Walking up to The Drayton Court Hotel on The Avenue, you immediately get that feeling of stumbling onto something special in Ealing. It’s one of those four-star places that doesn’t try too hard — the kind of hotel that feels more like a well-kept secret than a flashy destination. The building itself has character, and honestly, there’s something refreshing about finding a place that focuses on getting the basics absolutely right rather than overwhelming you with unnecessary bells and whistles.
Location & Getting Around
Here’s what I love about this spot — you’re in Ealing, which means you get that perfect balance of being close enough to central London without dealing with the chaos. The parking situation alone makes this place worth considering, especially if you’re driving into London (which, let’s be honest, most hotels charge you an arm and a leg for). You know what’s really telling though? The fact that couples consistently rate the location so highly tells you everything about how well-positioned this place is. It’s clearly in one of those neighborhoods where you can actually enjoy being a tourist without feeling like you’re constantly fighting crowds.
The Room Experience
I mean, let’s talk about what actually matters when you’re traveling — getting proper sleep. The beds here are genuinely comfortable, and I’m not just saying that because it’s in their marketing materials. There’s something about a room where you can actually spread out and relax that makes all the difference after a long day of sightseeing. The rooms feel thoughtfully designed rather than just thrown together, and you get the sense that someone actually considered what travelers need rather than what looks good in photos.
Breakfast & Dining
The breakfast setup here is actually impressive — they’ve got the full English sorted, but they’ve also thought about people with different dietary needs. Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free options that don’t feel like afterthoughts, which honestly can be hit or miss at a lot of places. The restaurant approach feels more personal than your typical hotel dining, and you can tell they’re putting effort into making sure everyone starts their day properly fed.
Why Guests Love It
What really strikes me about this place is how many people come back — that’s always the real test of whether a hotel is actually doing something right. When you’ve got repeat guests choosing to return rather than trying somewhere new, that speaks volumes about the experience they’re providing. It’s not trying to be the fanciest place in London, but it’s nailing the fundamentals that matter most when you’re traveling. The combination of genuinely comfortable accommodations, thoughtful service, and that sweet spot location makes it the kind of place you’d actually recommend to friends without any hesitation.
Savvy travelers reserve a hotel in London before Chelsea Flower Show turns squares into pop-up gardens.

We visited a week after the refurbishment and it was beautiful. The staff are just amazing. It was for a very special occasion and they went the extra mile to make it truly memorable. A special thankyou to Helena for helping with the arrangements. I’m back in February and already cannot wait!

This is an older property that has been maintained and taken care of. Hotel is very close to the Tube. We learned the routes and how to use the Tube. It's about an hour's ride into London but far better than driving and trying to park the car in London. There was a hotel elevator which always helps! The place is very secure and safe. You need a room key card for the elevator to even work, then you also use the key card to get to the hallway where your room is. The key card is also used to get the electricity on. The front door is locked at night so that was very good. Staff was super nice and polite. There is a large dining room for breakfast. Food is included with the room price. Food was delicious and you order your food from the breakfast menu.
