The Portobello Serviced Apartments by StayPrime Overview
First Impressions
When I first walked up to The Portobello Serviced Apartments by StayPrime, I honestly wasn’t sure what to expect from a serviced apartment setup. But you know what? This place completely changed my mind about extended-stay accommodations. The building sits right in the heart of Notting Hill, and there’s something genuinely charming about having your own space rather than just another hotel room. It’s got that four-star polish without feeling stuffy — more like staying at a well-appointed friend’s place who happens to have impeccable taste.
The Notting Hill Advantage
I mean, the location here is pretty much unbeatable if you want to experience London like a local. You’re literally steps from Portobello Road Market, which I discovered is actually worth the hype (especially on Saturdays when the antique dealers come out). The Tube stations at Ladbroke Grove and Notting Hill Gate are both walkable, so getting around the city is straightforward. What really struck me was how this area manages to feel both touristy and authentically residential — you’ll see families doing their weekly shop right alongside visitors hunting for vintage finds.
Living Space That Actually Works
The apartments themselves are thoughtfully designed in a way that makes you forget you’re in temporary accommodation. Each unit comes with a proper kitchen that’s actually functional — not one of those token setups with a mini-fridge and hope. I found myself cooking breakfast most mornings, partly because the local markets make grocery shopping feel like an adventure, and partly because the space just invites that kind of comfortable routine. The living areas have enough room to spread out, which honestly becomes crucial when you’re staying more than a few nights.
Neighborhood Rhythms
What I really appreciated was how quickly you fall into the neighborhood’s rhythm. There’s a proper local pub called The Ladbroke Arms just around the corner that serves decent food without the tourist markup. The nearby restaurant scene along Westbourne Grove offers everything from casual Lebanese to proper British gastropubs. I actually found myself walking to Hyde Park most mornings — it’s closer than you’d think and makes for a perfect start to the day. The whole area has this lived-in quality that you don’t get when you’re stuck in the traditional hotel districts.
Why Guests Love It
The combination of space, location, and that residential feel really sets this place apart from standard London hotels. Couples especially seem to love it here — and I can see why, since having your own apartment creates a completely different dynamic than sharing a single hotel room. The fact that recent guests rated the location so highly tells you everything you need to know about the neighborhood’s appeal. There’s also something to be said for having your own front door key and coming and going as you please, without navigating hotel lobbies and elevator small talk. It’s London living, just temporarily — and that’s exactly what makes it work so well.
Hotel in London reservations climb before fashion weeks when townhouse lobbies fill with designers.

The location is fantastic in Notting Hill. The area is very walkable with a tube stop short distance away and close to great restaurants/coffee shops. The building and neighborhood felt very safe. The bed was comfortable and apartment was spacious and clean. Check in was simple and easy. It was very nice to have a little kitchenette to use inside of the apartment. The apartment also had very nice closet space and storage space for us which we had not had in other hotels during our stay in the U.K.

Very nice Apartment in a perfect spot! You can easily explore the surroundings of Notting Hill on foot. Subway is a short walk away. You can see portobello road from the window. But it was not too loud. We did not use the kitchen, but for smaller meals or breakfast it will do. you can't cook a full dinner in there, but why would you?
