The William Overview
First Impressions
Walking up to The William on Harrow Road, you might wonder if you’ve stumbled onto something special that others haven’t quite discovered yet. This three-star spot sits in Brent, and honestly — it’s one of those places that feels more polished than its rating suggests. The building has this understated charm that doesn’t scream for attention, but once you’re inside, you realize the owners actually care about the details. The attention to quality throughout the property becomes immediately apparent, creating an atmosphere that exceeds expectations for a hotel in this category.
Location & Getting Around
Here’s what I love about this part of London — you’re far enough from the tourist chaos to breathe, but still connected to everything that matters. Harrow Road isn’t exactly Piccadilly Circus, but that’s the point. You’ve got proper local pubs within walking distance, and the transport links are better than you’d expect. Couples seem to get this location particularly well, probably because it feels like you’re experiencing actual London rather than just visiting it. The neighborhood offers authentic local experiences while maintaining excellent connectivity to central attractions.
The Room Experience
My room was clean in that way that suggests someone actually takes pride in their work — not just the basic “hotel clean” you sometimes get. The beds are comfortable enough that you won’t spend your vacation complaining about your back, and there’s decent space to spread out your stuff. You know what impressed me? The little touches, like proper lighting for reading and outlets where you actually need them. Nothing revolutionary, but thoughtful and well-considered design choices that enhance the overall guest experience significantly.
Breakfast Worth Mentioning
The breakfast setup here is honestly better than it needs to be for a three-star place. They’ve got the full English sorted, obviously, but they also do continental, vegetarian, and vegan options without making it feel like an afterthought. I mean, how many places this size actually think about vegan guests? The quality is solid — not fancy, but the kind of proper breakfast that sets you up for a day of wandering around London without needing to hunt for coffee an hour later. It’s a genuine highlight of staying here that consistently impresses guests.
Why Guests Love It
Look, The William isn’t trying to be something it’s not, and that’s refreshing. With an 8.2 rating, it’s clearly doing something right — probably the fact that it delivers exactly what it promises without any pretense. You’re getting a well-run place with friendly staff, a decent restaurant setup for breakfast, and a location that works whether you’re here for business or just exploring. It’s the kind of hotel where you sleep well, start your day properly fed, and don’t feel like you’re missing out on anything essential. Sometimes that’s exactly what you need, and The William provides it consistently with professional service and genuine hospitality.

This was a very great find in London! The room was very spacious, the good was very good and the staff super friendly.
We booked thinking we would use the Kensal green tube but it was out of service the whole time we were there. Thankfully we had plenty of other options to get around with buses that stopped in very very close to the pub. I would definitely recommend for a family of 4.Peter from South Africa (9/10)
I chose The William for it's location near to a friend I was visiting so we decided to try their pub dinner which was excellent and fairly priced. My bangers and mash was good and my friend had the battered fish which she said was also very tasty. They had a good selection of artisinal beers and ciders too. Our waiter recommended the Checkoslovakian beer which was excellent (sorry. Don't remember the name) The only minor irritant I had was the automatic addition of 12½% service charge to the dinner and drinks bill. Acceptable for a table of 6+ people but not 2.

Lovely hotel in a nice area. Great location for central London and an easy walk to and from the tube station. Really nice rooms, spacious and tall ceilings. It's a definite perk to have the bar downstairs. Lovely breakfast. Would definitely stay again.
