The soundproofing is pretty decent too, which matters when you’re this close to the West End madness. I stayed there during a busy weekend in autumn and barely heard the street noise, though you’ll definitely catch the energy if you open the windows.

Here’s the local knowledge bit that makes a difference: you’re literally a two-minute walk from Leicester Square tube, but more importantly, you can cut through those little side streets toward Charing Cross and avoid the worst of the crowds. The staff actually knows this stuff too – they’ll point you toward the quieter route to the Thames or tell you which pubs nearby aren’t completely overrun with tourists (there are a few, surprisingly). With an 8.8 rating, they’re clearly doing something right, and I think it comes down to understanding that business travelers and leisure visitors both want the same thing: a proper night’s sleep and easy access to everything London offers, without paying Mayfair prices or dealing with chain hotel blandness. The check-in was smooth, none of that hovering-around-the-lobby nonsense, and honestly, for Westminster Borough, you’re getting solid value here.
