Luxury Apartment in the heart of Central London

Honestly, when I first pulled up to 17 Devonshire Place, I wasn’t expecting much – the street’s pretty understated, tucked between the main Marylebone thoroughfares. But you know what? Sometimes the best London finds are the ones hiding in plain sight. This luxury apartment sits right in that sweet spot where you’re close enough to everything but far enough from the tourist chaos that plagues Oxford Street (which is literally a five-minute walk, by the way).

The apartment itself is actually impressive – I mean, four stars feels right, maybe even conservative. The space has that proper London character without feeling cramped, which is saying something in this part of town. What really got me was the attention to detail throughout. The kitchen’s properly kitted out, not like those sad hotel kitchenettes with a broken kettle and plastic cutlery. You could actually cook here if you wanted, though honestly, with Chiltern Firehouse around the corner and the whole Fitzrovia food scene at your doorstep, why would you? The bedroom’s quiet too, which surprised me given how central you are – Devonshire Place doesn’t get much through traffic, so you’re not dealing with buses rumbling past at 6 AM.

Location-wise, this is where it really shines. You’re basically equidistant from Bond Street and Baker Street stations, so getting anywhere is dead simple. Regent’s Park is a proper stroll away – I’m talking ten minutes max – and if you head south, you’ll hit Oxford Circus before you know it. But here’s the thing locals know: this little pocket of Marylebone feels almost village-like during the day. There’s a Waitrose practically next door for groceries, and that whole stretch toward Portland Place has some brilliant independent shops that tourists completely miss. The Wallace Collection’s just around the corner too, which is perfect for a rainy afternoon (and let’s be honest, there will be rainy afternoons). Parking’s obviously a nightmare like everywhere in central London, but the Tube connections more than make up for it. I’d definitely stay here again – the 9-star rating isn’t just people being generous, it’s earned.
