My room had that classic London feel — high ceilings, period features, but with all the modern touches you actually need. The bathroom was surprisingly spacious for a London hotel (anyone who’s stayed in the city knows what I’m talking about). What I really appreciated was the attention to detail — proper blackout curtains, a desk that’s actually usable, and honestly, the bed was one of those where you sink in just enough without feeling like you’re being swallowed whole. The windows looked out onto the garden square, which gave the whole space this calm, residential vibe.

Neighborhood Insights

This part of Kensington feels genuinely lived-in, not like a tourist theme park. There’s a brilliant little café around the corner that locals actually use, and Exhibition Road — with all its museums — becomes your regular walking route. The area comes alive differently throughout the day too. Mornings are peaceful with dog walkers in the square, afternoons buzz with museum-goers, and evenings settle into that sophisticated London rhythm. You’ll find yourself taking the long way back just to soak in the tree-lined streets.

  Fabulous location! Manson Plc. is on a dead-end street, 2 blocks south of the National History and V&A Museums, and a short walk to the South Ken Tube station or Gloucester. Lots of stores and restaurants nearby. Easy walk to Royal Albert Hall and Hyde Park, or Shaukat Fabrics if you like textiles. Front desk staff (24/7) were consistently helpful and polite. Our favorite nearby grocery was the Waitrose.

  The apartment is lovely and big. The beds are comfy and it was very clean. Location is excellent. It was a little chilly but the air con heating worked very well.
