Wilde Aparthotels London Covent Garden

You know what really surprised me about Wilde Aparthotels? The location is absolutely perfect, but not in the way you’d expect from most Covent Garden places. It’s tucked away on Adam Street – honestly, I walked past it twice before spotting the entrance – which means you’re literally seconds from all the chaos of the market and theaters, but you actually get some peace when you retreat back to your room.

The aparthotel thing works brilliantly here. I mean, having a proper kitchenette when you’re staying in central London is pretty much gold dust, especially when Tesco Express is right around the corner on Strand. The rooms feel more like a stylish friend’s flat than a hotel – there’s this cool, dark aesthetic with brass touches that somehow doesn’t feel try-hard. The beds are seriously comfortable (I’m picky about this), and the bathrooms have those rainfall showers that actually work properly. What I really appreciated was the space – you can spread out a bit, which is rare for London. The Wi-Fi is solid too, if you’re trying to work, though honestly the neighborhood is so distracting you might struggle to focus.

Location-wise, you’re in this sweet spot where Somerset House is practically next door – perfect for wandering through in the morning before the crowds hit – and you can cut through to the South Bank via Waterloo Bridge in about five minutes. The staff actually know the area well; they steered me toward Rules restaurant (oldest in London, apparently) and suggested the quieter entrance to Covent Garden through the back streets rather than fighting through the main piazza. Check-in was smooth, no fuss, and they’re pretty flexible about luggage storage if you arrive early. The only thing I’d mention is that Adam Street can get a bit lively on weekend nights – not obnoxiously loud, but you’ll hear people heading home from the West End. Honestly though, that’s just London. For the money and the location, especially if you want apartment-style space without sacrificing being in the thick of things, this place really delivers.
